"What a Piece of Work" Forms and Movements for the Resistance, Our Own Voice Theatre Troupe
fall 2017. Besides clowning I created a work of art from the 5 performances audiences. In grade school one of my fondest memories was going to the Flannel Board to visualize my understanding of math or colors. It was a felt board with many shapes, letter and numbers to work with and I loved feeling the texture of the fabric. It was some educator's idea of a better way to engage students than the chalk board. They are still in use because I found some on the internet. I view my piece what a piece of work as an homage to that classroom experience. You can see it at the link below and have it for your very own if you donate to the Go Fund Me site for the troupe.

A sneak peek of work on my performance piece Metamorphosis. The Zebra Swallowtail mural is made of acrylic paint on windsock fabric adhered to wood. It was my first attempt at making wings for the performance. Since it didn't work I now have a selfie site on my property!
The caterpillar was an experiment I hoped my cat would hide inside. I discovered the fabric faded in the sunlight so it morphed into many sizes of origami caterpillars made out of that fabulous green rip stop nylon. It's been a fun summer 2018.

lil' Kernel
I continue the concept of Maize while biking through the city. I am a purpose rider and wanted someway to carry my 5 gallon jug of water that I refill at Whole Foods. The lil' Kernel serves that purpose while allowing me to make my statement about Monsanto. I updated the Kernel of Truth and had to double the number of pages because non-gmo products have doubled! There is a QR code on each side so viewers can scan it and go to my blog. 2015
Maize
Maize, the art car, was available for performances. I wore the regalia of the Corn Mother and spoke about genetically modified corn. Finally, I handed out a Kernel of Truth handmade book that contained a non-gmo shopping guide and organic corn seeds. The entire package was donated to the Catholic Diocese of Memphis in April 2012. You can view the entire history of Maize by going to the Blog about my art car, Maize on this site corncar.blogspot.com
Incontinent Proof
I made an Al Gore shoulder puppet for Burning Man 2007. The theme was "The Green Man" and I walked the streets proclaiming that "I am the Green Man" sporting the puppet. When I wasn't performing, the puppet sat in my camp with a sign proclaiming the same.
In 2008 Patricia Carreras and I wrote and performed Incontinent Proof at Comedy Tennessee and The Fringe at the National Storytelling Festival in Gatlinburg, TN. Click here to see snippets of the cacophony of puppets... http://youtu.be/qTGSWa4WLHk

A Life Path
I perform A Life Path on a Maltese Labrinth. It is an interpretation of my Mother's life and therefore dedicated to her. The majority of the music is by Erik Satie. It ends with "Amazing Grace". The performance lasts about 15 minutes. Click here to watch a the beginning and end
